ABOUT THIS PROJECT

The property is located in the beautiful foothills of the Dandenong ranges through the fern tree forest within a close walk from the bustling Upwey main street with its friendly locals and high quality quirky cafes.

The project was an existing double story home with a typical design in construction built before the 1960s. Internally The existing house featured a sunken lounge making it difficult to transition from the kitchen to the lounge area, along with this, the existing house had outdated bathrooms, plaster cornice, paint colours, single glazed windows the place was screaming for renovation.

SCOPE OF WORK

The scope of work was simple, completely strip the house back to the original timber studs which gave us the opportunity to install new insulation to not only give the house a much better energy rating but most of all to increase the comfort level for years to come.

The team worked to reframe the new layout adding another bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining, and living. Along with this we added a new timber staircase, new double glazed windows, new doors throughout, timber flooring and fabulous cabinetry with an awesome concrete fireplace area.
